reFocus Afrika is a Pan-Afrikan organization with a vision to identify, develop and maximize potentials on the continent by connecting opportunities to resources. We aim to support global initiatives by implementing transformative projects and programs focusing on agriculture, clean water, energy, housing, education, sports, training, and business development.
Mr. Matar Diop Kane

Matar Diop Kane, a native Senegalese, is a distinguished retired Gendarmerie Major and former Commander of the Special Gendarmerie Section for Environmental Protection, with a career dedicated to security, environmental protection, and international cooperation.
A Maritime Captain, combat swimmer (Navy SEAL), and certified scuba diving instructor, he has combined military expertise with environmental stewardship, serving as an Environmental Investigator Relay Trainer and Port Facility Security Officer (PFSO) under the ISPS Code. His expertise extends to global security, where he has served as an OPCW Trainer with the United Nations in the fight against chemical weapons.
In recognition of his service, Mr. Kane has been decorated as both Knight and Officer of the National Order of Merit of Senegal. His international contributions have also earned him the title of Honorary Citizen of the City of Brooklyn, USA.
Beyond his military and security career, he has played an influential role in global diplomacy and development, serving as Secretary General of the World Conference of Mayors (USA) and currently as President of the Marine Development Agency at the Marine Foundation, Japan.
