Dr. Sunshine Silas
Co-Founder & CEO
Dr. Sunshine Silas, is a Pan-African visionary leader, investor, diplomat, innovation strategist, and certified leadership coach with extensive global recognition.
He is the Founder & CEO of reFocus Afrika Group, a continental enterprise active in over 25 African countries, driving transformative projects in real estate, agriculture, mining, renewable energy, ICT, and education. Under his leadership, the Group has facilitated strategic investment financing, infrastructure development, and impactful multi-stakeholder partnerships with governments, private sectors, and international organizations.
As Chief Administrator of reFocus Afrika Academy, Dr. Silas oversees innovative educational programs and global collaborations, including partnerships with over 15 Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) in the U.S., advancing accredited vocational and skills-based training for African youth. He also co-founded Race2Build Afrika Inc., a global nonprofit initiative fostering cultural exchange and diaspora business integration through education, entrepreneurship, and leadership programs.
With deep expertise as a government consultant, Dr. Silas advises on investment facilitation, PPP development, trade missions, diplomatic outreach, and diaspora engagement. His work has connected international investors with African opportunities while strengthening strategic ties with development agencies and multilateral partners.
A passionate youth advocate, Dr. Silas has designed and delivered leadership and empowerment programs that have directly engaged over 300,000 young people across Africa and globally. He is also a dynamic keynote speaker, recognized for delivering impactful insights on leadership, development, diplomacy, and investment at high-level forums worldwide.
Dr. Silas currently serves as the Honorary Consul of the Sovereign Kingdom of Hawaii to the United Republic of Tanzania and the Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar, further advancing his mission of bridging cultures, fostering partnerships, and unlocking Africa’s potential on the global stage.
